Who I am is who you see,
women as free as free can be
Who you see is who I am,
Allah my Lord,my faith Islam
My veil,my gown like flowing covers
Is what I wear to show all others
Life and beauty are not skin deep
Its in our hearts intentions we keep.
I walk out there yes not showing my hair
If that offends you then life is not fair.
I'm not a slave at home tied to the kitchen sink!
I too have a heart and a brain that can think.
And before you ask if I'm depressed
Abused alone or completely oppressed
Just know I'm happy and I feel more free
when men aren't gawking and flirting with me
I don't need to dress up for strangers
or put myself in this world dangers
I feel grand in my palace with plenty to do.
And I can by the way go outside too.
In case you were wondering if I slept in my gown
the answer is no and I don't sleep on the ground
I'm just like any other women you see
but covers and protects her modesty
I eat take-away food on the weekends
share my love with so many friends.
There's more to me than what your eyes see
so don't judge my choices before you know me.
To anyone out there who cant comprehend
I'm happy and free all the way to the end
Not everyone's life consists of hair do's
and this is the life I willingly choose.

PEACE

Peace is what every individual strives for
Looking for it within the one they adore,
Although this is not always the case
We should treasure it in every race.
Not just among our ethnicity and region
Weather you a Christian, Jew, Muslim or pagan.
That doesn’t mean there has to be wars and battles, with no care
Ruling people with despicable violence with whom they scare.
Fighting, arguing among the nation
Why can’t we just get along amongst God’s creation?
That’s no reason for humanity to change
Cherish everything, rather than cause rage!
Religion aside, moral beings should respect a soul
Not afflicting misery, rather bringing unity like shoal.
Let’s merge the whole universe
Considering this ummah is diverse,
To make love, harmony and tranquillity
As we was all created with piety.
In our life time, what we see
Is how our characters tend to be.
Thinking that we know what is best and what to do.
Everyone has likes and dislikes within this world too.
Throughout my life, I’ve sought many things,
From which have come both good and bad tidings
Yet, I’ve never lost my faith or hope
In that they’ve been essential in helping me to cope
So please I urge you and me
If anyone wrongs you, let them be free.
God will deal with them on judgement day
Either they could be angry or just astray.
Think positive and stay calm
Resist if they cause you harm.
Don’t cause your inner self distress
Remain silent and you will have success.
Smile as Muhammad (SAW) did -“ It’s a Sunnah”
If you wan’t to achieve Jannah.
Why destory when we can create
Bring the love, erase the hate.
I finnish this last line with this to say
May God bless and guide you in the right way (Insh’Allah)
